On Set with French Cinema: Anne Fontaine in Person!

This year we’re pleased to welcome director Anne Fontaine, who will be presenting her 2005 film In His Hands (Entre ses mains).
A taut, unnerving thriller with overtones of Hitchcock and Chabrol, In His Hands is the story of Claire Gautier (Isabelle Carré), a young wife and mother who also maintains a successful career as an insurance adjuster. Happy at home and work, all seems picture-perfect until one day she meets Laurent (Benoit Poelvoorde), an awkward veterinarian who files a claim with her company. Smitten with her from the first, Laurent starts making excuses to see her; Claire, flattered by the attention, goes along with it, drawn by some inner secret Laurent seems to be guarding. Meanwhile, the media is full of reports on a serial killer, nicknamed “Doctor Death,” at loose in the area....
