Talking About Tom Schiller
One of the many things that made Saturday Night Live so special in its early years and beyond was the short films of Tom Schiller. La Dolce Gilda and Java Junkie capture the spirit of their moment far better and with more grace and less fuss than many more impressively funded and weightily conceived movies.

Like Schiller’s delightfully loopy 1984 feature Nothing Lasts Forever, which was never released in theater, they have a lightness of touch and a pleasure in pure invention that brings a little romance back to movies and moviemaking.

Join us for a rare screening of Nothing Lasts Forever and a selection of Schiller’s shorts. Michael Streeter, the author of Nothing Lost Forever: The Films of Tom Schiller, and Zach Galligan, the star of Nothing Lasts Forever will be on hand to celebrate Tom Schiller and his unique place in American comedy. Special guest Bill Murray is expected to make a cameo appearance and of course, Mr. Schiller himself will be in the house keeping things lively!
