For 25 years, the Mark Morris Dance Group has been bringing its singular blend of dance and music to audiences throughout the world. A series of photographic exhibitions around the city presents the company's works, from its early years through today's current repertory. The Frieda and Roy Furman Gallery at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater joins the celebration to host Mark Morris: Portraits, a show dedicated to the choreographer the Washington Post calls "the Mozart of modern dance." Over a dozen works by Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger, Philip Trager, Max Vadukul, William Wegman among others will be on view together for the first time as part of the dance group's 25th anniversary.
Visit the Mark Morris Dance Group for details on anniversary performances, exhibitions and events all month long and join the celebration at Lincoln Center.
