The Film Society of Lincoln Center presents special
events throughout the year, including an annual Gala
Tribute honoring the career accomplishments of a major
figure in the film world, and Young Friends of Film
special events, as well as gala film premieres and
special live appearances.
Special events from 2007 have included the Gala Tribute to Diane Keaton (with guest appearances by Woody Allen, Candance Bergen, Lisa Kudrow, Steve Martin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Meryl Streep) the Young Friends of Film premiere screening of Run, Fatboy, Run (with special guests Michael Ian Black, Thandie Newton, Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer), the Film Comment Selects screening of Norman Mailer on Film (with the man himself holding forth from the stage of the Walter Reade Theater) as well as our An Evening With... conversations with film luminaries such as Tim Burton, David Fincher and Forest Whitaker.
