35th New Directors/ New Films
March 22 through April 2, 2006
Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and the Department of Film and Media at The Museum of Modern Art.

The festival is made possible through the generosity of The Julien J. Studley Foundation and The Irene Diamond Fund.

This year discover 36 new filmmakers who will help shape the cinema of tomorrow, many of whom will be present to introduce their work and take questions after the public screenings. Several of the directors will also join us for our first HBO Films Roundtable: From Script to Screen, where they will elaborate on the process (and the struggle) of realizing their visions. Also this year, we are pleased to present ND/NF Classics, a special retrospective of American independent documentaries that span 20 years of New Directors. Many of these veteran directors will introduce their films, which remain every bit as powerful and important today as they were when they originally screened at ND/NF.

Advance tickets to New Directors/New Films are now on sale to the public. Admission: $12 public, $10 FSLC & MoMA members with a limit of two member priced tickets per screening.

For a listing of films go to Program. To view a calendar of events and to purchase tickets online go to Calendar. For complete ticketing information go to Ticket Info.

ND/NF 2006 screenings will take place at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater (FSLC), 165 West 65th Street between Broadway & Amsterdam Avenues on the plaza level and at The Museum of Modern Art’s The Roy and Niuta Titus Theater 1 (MoMA), 11 West 53 Street between Fifth & Sixth Avenues.

Sponsored by National Geographic Traveler Magazine, Stella Artois®.

Additional support provided by HBO Films, Film Movement, HBO Documentary Films and The Junior Associates of The Museum of Modern Art, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency
